Cup profile

Colombian Supremo 17/18 is a washed export grade made from Castillo, Caturra and Colombia and sorted by screen size. It comes in 70 kg jute bags with GrainPro liners, FOB Buenaventura, and cups at 83 points with notes of hazelnuts, red fruits, pastry, vanilla, caramel, chocolate, tonka beans.

About the variety

A regional blend of Castillo, Caturra and Colombia, the varieties planted on most Colombian farms. Castillo and Colombia were bred by Cenicafé for resistance to coffee leaf rust; together they give a dependable, balanced cup in volume.

Processing

Washed: the cherries are depulped, fermented to loosen the mucilage, washed and dried. This gives clean, bright cups that show the variety and terroir clearly.
