About the variety

Gesha (also spelled Geisha) is an Ethiopian landrace that became famous in Panama in the early 2000s. It is prized for jasmine-like florals, bergamot and a tea-like body, and Colombia was among the first countries outside Panama to grow it.

Where it grows

Tolima lies in central Colombia on the slopes of the Central Andes. Its southern municipalities, such as Planadas and Rioblanco, have become a reference for high-altitude specialty coffee. Tochecito farm sits at 1900–2300 m in Ibagué.

Processing

Natural: whole cherries are dried with the fruit still on the bean. Expect more fruit, sweetness and body.

The lot was fermented only with its own microorganisms, with nothing added.
