About the region
Huila belongs to Colombia’s southern coffee region, together with Cauca and Nariño. These departments are known for high-altitude arabica, pronounced acidity and a diverse range of sensory profiles, and they play a prominent role in the market for regional and single-farm microlots. Still, coffee from one department is not a uniform product: differences between farms can be considerable, so judge each lot by its variety, processing and cupping results.
